OVERVIEW
Born in Kentucky and raised in Indiana Jacob has his lived his whole life in the Midwest. The Midwest is not typically what you think of a skiing Mecca but has produced a lot of great skiers including Nick Goepper, Lindsey Vonn, and Kaylin Richardson to name a few. Jacob relies heavily in his background in manufacturing and engineering and is constantly working on ideas for innovation in the sport of Speed Skiing where not only the athlete but equipment can be a deciding factor of winning and losing. Jacob spends a lot of time being heavily involved not only in his professional Speed Skiing career but giving back to the community and his mission for work force development and continuous improvement of technical education sector. He is a Regional Sales Manager for Amatrol Inc. Amatrol Inc is a global leader in technical education and training for industry, community colleges, and technical colleges. He is also heavily involved in tennis, skiing, fitness, and overall health and wellness promotion in the community and relies heavily on his experience as a former D1 tennis player for Wright State University and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUe) as well as experience on ITF and UTR ProTennis circuits for guidance.
EDUCATION
Balancing education and athletics have always been a priority. Jacob received his Master’s in Industrial
Systems Engineering from Wright State University and his Undergrad in Mechanical Engineering from
Wright State University. He also attended SIUe for part of his undergrad in Mechanical Engineering and
went to Silver Creek High School. He is a certified ISO 9001 internal auditor and Purdue MEP Six Sigma
Black Belt.
CURRENT
He currently competes on FIS Speed Skiing World Cup and owns a marketing company with partnerships including ski manufacturer Atomic, ski wax and tuning manufacturer Swix, and optics company Arclite Optics. He is an active community member and helps with Habitat for Humanity, Optimist Club, Rotary Club, 1SI, Y1SI, and Metro Manufacturing Alliance.
